Reader comment on item: Islamist Turkey vs. Secular Iran?
in response to reader comment: Turkic one from China

Submitted by the Grand Infidel of Kaffiristan (Australia), Dec 3, 2010 at 18:04

a Turkic one from China writes:

"I strongly recommend you to read and understand KORAN firstly before you make comments on Islam and Muslims."

Yes - I've done that - and what was I supposed to find ? Anything at all that could not have been found in scriptures from other nobler, saner traditions? Granted, we won't find the arabian nights flavoured fairytales or anti-semitism in any other scriptures - but please refer us to the specific passages which you must be so highly recommending.

In the meantime - if you have access to free media and will take the chance to venture outside you own islamic world I strongly recommend for you to read and understand the overwhelmingly negative influence of Islamic belief on the non-Islamic world (and indeed on the Islamic world) firstly before you make comments on non-muslims.
