Reader comment on item: [The Issue of Compulsion in Religion:] Islam is What Its Followers Make of It
in response to reader comment: Islam V Hinduism

Submitted by Kabir (India), Oct 21, 2009 at 05:27

you have obviously read a lot on the subject and seem quite obsessive about it.

YOu know its all fine till the time you say " The book of Hinduism is comparable to islam. the hindus dont respect the scripture of Hunduism but we muslims Respect our Quran.... "

Give it up your unwillingness to listen to yourself and your insistance on feeding yourself on borrowed ideas is going to drive you mad....or seriously depressed..take my word for it.

look at the world through your own eyes...not thru mohamads (peace be upon you){yes i mean you ...not him}

I prophesise that soon you will realize that the mulla is filling your head with non-sense...as is the pundit..
All religions were started with the intention of either controlling a people, extracting money from people or to gain respect /position in 'society'... all very selfish motives.

I do admit that some were possibly started to help misguided people or those with no knowledge of morals and ethics....BUT YOU ARE EDUCATED...YOU ARE WISE...YOU CAN THINK FOR YOURSELF!!!

GO AHEAD THINK...WRITE YOUR OWN QURAN, BUT PLEASE DONT ASK PEOPLE TO FOLLOW YOU...that's certianly not what God would want...

Submitting....
