Truth is in the small printReader comment on item: [The Issue of Compulsion in Religion:] Islam is What Its Followers Make of It Submitted by vamanan (India), Dec 5, 2007 at 10:30 You have truly brought out the nuances of the no-compulsion clause in Islam. Many Islam propagandists, after 9/11 they are dime a dozen even in the channels in Tamil Nadu, India, glibly get away by using it as a magic wand. Thanks for showing how specious their argument is. Actually, I take the meaning of Islam, Submission, to be a pun for force. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
