US and Iraq Petrol

Reader comment on item: Europeans: From Venus?

Submitted by QazaQ (Turkey), Jan 25, 2003 at 11:11

We all know why US and England send armies to IRAQ.Because they are thinking of the plight of the Iraqi people? Because Saddam has big weapons, chemical weapons?

No.

The reason is Iraq's petrol. The US wants to control petrol. Petrol is found in two places in the world- Middle East and US (I'm not sure but in Texas I think).Control petrol -- control the world. That is their politics.

Germany and Francse are two another strong countries of our world. Since US and England will not share the Iraq petrol with these guys, some problems have arisen recently between US and Europe.

I also want to add something about WW2. US ended WW2 and saved Europe's ass. That is true. The US did it because Americans like Europeans very much. It's not because if they didn't, Germany would be a stronger guy than US. Or it's not because in the end of the war the US still traded with Europe with its rules.and bla bla.

Remember: control petrol-control the world. So control Middle East, control the world.

Turkey for example is a danger if the US could not keep its control. If it lets Turkey grow and become stronger the US may lose its influence in Middle East.

That-country's politics is a wide subject.

please excuse me for my "Tarzan English". I hope you get the point I wanted to mention.
