Could UK and Russia be exceptions?

Reader comment on item: Europeans: From Venus?

Submitted by Stephen Fong (Canada), Jul 16, 2002 at 12:28

Dear Dr. Pipes,

With the Europeans, I would also add Canada for the most part. This country has been at best lukewarm in its support of America and only then when it suits its own interests, even though she continues to garner the best trading and cultural relationships with the US. I am often embarrassed to call myself Canadian given the false basis of its national pride, hypocritical anti-american sentiment, and its entrenched blind faith in post-modernist socialist philosophy and politics.
