Europa Super Omnia?

Reader comment on item: Europeans: From Venus?
in response to reader comment: Europa super omnia!!!

Unfortunately, my Lusitanian friend, most of my European ancestors spoke the obscure dialects of despised minorities, so we opted for English in the land that gave us no-questions-asked citizenship.

All nations and civilizations rise and fall. In 1490, it was indeed Europe's destiny to conquer the world, a destiny it fulfilled during the 19th century. As an American, I have no quarrel with the proposition that our country is a European colony; or that our founding ideas were brought from Europe (the federal idea came to us from the Israel of the Judges via thinkers like Johannes Althusius; not from the Iroquois Longhouse).

And, I am grateful to Portugal for having helped pave the way for the Western hegemony.

But, can either of our portions of the Western world survive if we do not re-appropriate our own culture and faith? I fear that our era is witnessing an attempt at suicide by Western civilization, which radical Islamicism is aiding and abetting.
