There is no doubt that America suffers from the thoughts that it is / was an empire. As a nation America, that is the colonies, fought against oppression on every front. Without Americas sometimes misguided watchdog world posture, perhaps you wouldnt be writing today! From a very narrow perspective if America didnt stand for rights and what is right, your freedom to speak might be likened to internet in China!

Americas entry into WW2 was in all likely hood by design although historians may argue, had America slept this would be a different world.

Why do people in France respect Nepolian a brutal mass murderer who has a well documented history of evil?

On these beaches America sacrificed their best .. holding on to the thought of democracy ... many perished. Let freedom persist in the face of desperation .. may we all seek and hold the thought that, a better world is made by men whom against all odds persist against desperation and evil!

That is the America I live in. That is the America I live for.
