Reader comment on item: Europeans: From Venus?

The Americans ended Nazi occupation of France. While the rest of Europe was colonizing and fighting war over such lands, the US did no such thing.

The rest of the world is jealous because the US is the wealthiest, most powerful, most talked-about country in the world. Face it. The rest of the world listens to our music, (tries to learn to) speak our language, watch our movies, wear our clothes, eat our foods (Heinz, Haagen Dazs,...ALL AMERICAN). All other countries learned our system of government (democracy, republic, separation of church and state).

A few decades back everyone remembered Israel's struggle and history. Now, these people who have rejected the 1947 UN Partition Plan, as well as the offer given to Arafat (97% West Bank, 100% Gaza Strip) are receiving sympathy from people. Arab nations have declared war and attempted to destroy Israel (not to make it smaller, but to destroy it as a whole) five times! Israel has never declared war. That is why the US throughout the years has stood with Israel against terrorism.

If everyone in the world was forced to leave their country and allowed the choice to live in any other country in the world, which country would have over half the population? You know the answer...
