Americans and Europeans equality

Reader comment on item: Europeans: From Venus?

Europeans bicker, moan, and complain about America and the US says it doesn't care for European stupidity. Let me tell you this ,when it comes down to it, there is not one better than the other.

Europeans have fought for American independence and America has fought for European liberation. America started as a colony of the UK and has built its government and culture of that of the nations of Europe. America has its downfalls but in the present we have tought our downfalls in schools. The germans deny their oppression of Europe they leave it out of the text books they skip it. We do not skip slavery we admit to it. It is a steriotype to say all Americans are stupid in fact the majority are quite intelligent. take me for example, I'm a seventeen year old farm boy. It is also a stereotype that Europe is full of wimps.

Most Americans are against the Iraq campain to tell the truth and the majority hate bush. I'll use Germany as an example, just because Hitler sucked doesn't mean all germans did. As of the topic of WWII it is true no nation was the sole victor I think most Europeans would agree that Americas enty was the decideing factor, not to mention America fought on two fronts during their entire involvement in the war. Sure we joined late I agree and Europeans lost alot more men but we all fought bravely as brothers now we fight as enemies. America loves Europe it is the land from which we came.

Europe is a splendid place and we are jealous of your history and architecture, and if we are arrogant and proud it is because we are your descendants.
