Too much credibility given to EU and UN

Reader comment on item: Europeans: From Venus?

Submitted by Shirley Dobry (United States), Jul 17, 2002 at 10:35

The Europeon Union and the United Nations are ineffective. I completely agree with your article and comments about the United States and the Europeon nations. Too much credibility is given to Europe. It failed to prevent two World Wars and now thinks it can give advice to others.

The United Nation's Security Council has Syria heading it. Syria is a nation which supports all the troublemakers in their region. I'm sure that the 9/11 group had some Syrian money in the mix along with Saudi Arabian and Iragi. The United States need not make enemies unnecessarily but the facts are that we do not need the support of the 12th century Middle East countries. In fact, their backward cultures are the reason we were attacked.
