Europe and Germany

Reader comment on item: Europeans: From Venus?

Submitted by Curtis Kreutzberg (United States), Jul 18, 2002 at 09:23

Give it ten years, it's my opinion that the EU joined Germany, not the other way around. Germany will dominate Europe like Hitler never could, without ever firing a shot. Germans still have some sort of a work ethic (though diluted) which puts them head and shoulders above the rest of the Eurosnots. England being the exception, might come to their senses and distance themselves from the EU. The only real question for the Euros is will they be speaking German or Arabic in 20 years. All things considered, German is probably better, though totally depressing.
