Antidote for Dogma?Reader comment on item: Europe's Stark Options Submitted by Charlie (United States), Mar 5, 2007 at 07:53 Judeo-Christianity is often cited as the motivation to counter the vicious advance of Islamism. Many Westerners have come to see this cure as worse than the disease. For good reason. The familiar memory of Elmer Gantry hypocrisy and intolerance overpowers our vague notion of distant Islamism. Selfish politicians harp on politically correct "get along" themes, further robbing us of our righteous instinct for survival. We need to see that our Philosophy of Freedom is our source of Pride and Resolution. If Humans know they are worthy of Freedom, and will stop at nothing less, Islamism will cower and disappear.
