Jos -- You are right, and if you are fully westernized in your views of freedom, liberty, pluralism, and if they are equally as westernized, this is a good thing.

However, please remember that the persistent call to jihad by "British Imams", and UBL and Zawahiri, and others in dark corners of the net, aims to enlist the "ummah" to overthrow western civilization, and to replace it with an equally wealthy, arabized, semi-theocratic "democracy". These instigators know full well that many soft-muslims won't support the jihad, but to the radicals, the soft-muslims serve a purpose, too. They camo the threat that the radicals pose.
