Of course we are to blame!

in response to reader comment: Immigration due to colonization

Oh yes. You're absolutely right. The UN has repeatedly stated that Norway is the world's best country to live in. This wealth is due to the fact that Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Somalia, Pakistan and China are former Norwegian colonies. Thus we are obligated to receive (purportedly) refugees (purportedly) from those countries. (Canada and Iceland could be described somewhat similarily.)

Those "underaged" "lonely" asylum seekers, some of them equipped with beard stubs at no extra cost, destroying their passports on the way between the plane and the passport check, importing some family members after being granted asylum on vague grounds (which pothead came up with the idea of "famiy reunification"?), are specially welcome.

In this high-tech, high welfare country, every year losing jobs in the industry to poorer/low cost countries, we desperately need immigration. We crave more unemployment, more civil unrest, more crime and higher welfare expenses, even though Norwegians steadily gets lazier and fatter. Low skilled or unskilled immigrants - who does not want to work or cannot get jobs - Muslims and Gypsies - are the things we need the most. Even more than we need Eastern Europeans working in the black market, smuggling goods, professing DUI and robbing homes.

(Sarcasm.)
