The violent nature of the fringe Muslims is a direct result of their seeing the handwriting on the wall: Islamic values are no match for Western values. Their desire to destroy the West is an attempt to overcome this inevitability. They know it. I wish Daniel Pipes saw this. ...

Islam can only exist in a totalitarian, national coccoon. There is no such thing as a national coccoon anymore. The current surge in what seems to be a tide of Islamic hegemony is nothing more than a dead cat's bounce.
