RidiculousReader comment on item: How the West Could Lose Submitted by Hamri Al-Assad, Plumbers United (United States), Feb 6, 2007 at 18:42 Again, you guys missed the memo, THIS IS NOT A WAR OF CIVILIZATIONS, THIS IS NOT A BATTLE FOR THE HEART OF ISLAM, IT IS GETTING RID OF SOME UNDEREDUCATED IDEOLOGUES I don't know where a Muslim gets off saying that the Quran is not the literal word of God. If that was to be true, then everything is a lie, because the Quran explicitly says that it is the final complete literal message. Show me where it says something that is fundamentally wrong. Show me where it contradicts itself. It doesn't matter if all the Muslims stray from the path towards violence, which they won't, Islam cannot fail simply because it is the will of the Almighty that it succeed. There can be one real Muslim left and the religion will surive. I really don't get what qualifies any of you to make sweeping statements about Islam. It is shameful that some of you think reasonable Islam is dead. The only thing that is dead is the logic in this forum Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
