Reader comment on item: How the West Could Lose
in response to reader comment: We need to put aside political correctness and discuss Islam

Submitted by donvan (United States), Oct 18, 2007 at 09:24

The problem with discussing "Islam" is that discussion itself gives the mythology too much attention. Every time the topic of "Islam" pops up, the masses become agitated, the media salivates, and the followers become manic. "Islam", as a mythology, is exposed and weak. We can shut it down. If elevated to a religious status, then the church/state debate is engaged, even though the mythology is neither a church nor a state. An " Honest" debate regarding "Islam", is not possible. No mythology that integrates killing or being killed as a core value to gain access to the diety and paradise is unacceptable. We are beginning to see a crack down on Islamic schools, and at some point so called "Mosques" as centers advocating violence.
