Reader comment on item: How the West Could Lose
in response to reader comment: We need to put aside political correctness and discuss Islam

Dennis, you could not have said it any better! As I have stated numerous times previously, political correctness WILL be the demise of the U.S.

I have spent an enormous amount of time over the last year studying and learning about Middle Eastern culture and its main religion, Islam. Let me just say this - what you say about Islam being inherently irreconcilable to Western culture and values is correct. That is the TRUE source of the problem. Separation of Church & State is nonexistant in Islam.

Our government has done a piss poor job in understanding the roots of Jihad and Muslim extremism. It is simply because of a Western value called love and forgiveness. Our leaders simply do not have the right conscience to believe Islam is evil. Appeasement is easy. Diplomacy is easy. Confrontation and actual meaningful debate is not. Unfortunately, our government is more interested in political prestige and power trips than actually doing what "we the people" have elected them to do - protect the citizens of the country. The current chaos on our borders is proof of this. The border should have been secured two decades ago. I have for the most part lost all hope in our government. The day is not far away where it will be the "people for the people."

I truly think the ONLY way for the U.S. and the rest of the West to avoid devastating circumstances from Radical Islam is for the truth to be told and heard. The citizens need to get educated on Islam and its teachings. The media needs to quit avoiding the truth and let it out. Who cares about ratings. I guarantee nobody will care about ratings after the next successful terror attack is committed in the U.S. We need for Christians with the guts to tell the truth about the Bible and prophecy to get out there and do it.

Where was the outrage when Ellison was the first congressmen to get sworne in on the Qur'an and not the Bible. If Americans really understood that the Qur'an instructs followers of Islam to "kill the Jews, Christians, and infidels where ever you find them," I guarantee you Ellison would not have been aloud to do that.
