Dear Moderate,

LET'S RECAP THE LAST E-MAIL:

ME

ps. in Islam you guys still follow the polygamy system where a woman doesnt even have half the respect or intelligence of her husband, no matter how dumb he is.

YOU < yeah, we really dont, I treat woman as people, and anyone who doesnt is following Islam correctly

So lets see women are treated the same and polygamy is non-islamic ......hmmm

The Quran in Sura 4:3 says:

And if you be apprehensive that you will not be able to do justice to the orphans, you may marry two or three or four women whom you choose. But if you apprehend that you might not be able to do justice to them, then marry only one wife, or marry those who have fallen in your possession. (Maududi, vol. 1, p. 305) <<

"Women are naturally, morally and religiously defective". (Bukhary - from http://www.submission.org/women/equal.html)

EQUALITY OF WOMEN

The Quran in Sura 4:11 says:

The share of the male shall be TWICE that of a female . . . . (Maududi, vol. 1, p. 311)

The Quran in Sura 2:282 says:

And let two men from among you bear witness to all such documents [contracts of loans without interest]. But if two men be not available, there should be one man and two women to bear witness so that if one of the women forgets (anything), the other may remind her. (Maududi, vol. 1, p. 205).

The Prophet said, "Isn't the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?" The women said, "Yes." He said, "This is because of the deficiency of a woman's mind." (Bukhari, emphasis added)

(SURA4:34) . . . If you fear highhandedness from your wives, remind them [of the teaching of God], then ignore them when you go to bed, then hit them. If they obey you, you have no right to act against them. God is most high and great.<<<<<<<

PS ( these are your questions from the previous post, there all old testament no questions from the New Testament or book of Matthew.)

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other laws in Leviticus and Exodus and how to best follow them.

  1. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Leviticus 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. How should I deal with this?
  2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as stated in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
  3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Leviticus 15:19-24). The problem is, how can I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
  4. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may buy slaves from the nations that are around us. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify?
  5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
  6. A friend of mine says that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Leviticus 10:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?
  7. Leviticus 20:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
