Reader comment on item: How the West Could Lose
in response to reader comment: A muslim duty

Nice words, Moderate Muslim, but how can we be sure they are true?

First, I have written to several Islamic groups asking pertinent questions about certain verses in the Koran, but so far, not one has even bothered to answer. Every single one of my requests has been met with stony silence. Obviously, that implies that they have something to hide.

Second, Muslims have repeatedly claimed to be telling the truth, when in reality they "twist" the truth to their own advantage. It's called "spin."

Third, there can be no doubt that the antiquated manner of thinking of Muslims and constant threats of violence only serve to put the West on high alert, indicating how childish Muslims really are.

With your several pbuhs, I assume you are a devout Muslim. If that is the case, please answer these simple questions.

Why can't a Muslim discuss (question) the Koran? Why does the Koran urge the followers of Islam to kill infidels in the name of allah? Let's say the Koran is about 1,200 years old, why do Muslims still want to follow such tenets today with such hatred and zeal? Why are Muslim apostates sentenced to death? Do Muslims really believe all they're told by the imams at their mosques? Do Muslims really believe that 72 virgins await each suicide bomber at heaven's gate? Even including young boys, bringing the total to 100, doesn't that seem like a small number for eternity? What are the boys for if you condemn homosexuality? Why don't the imams volunteer for suicide duty? Why don't all Muslim males volunteer for suicide duty? If you like Sharia Law so much, why didn't you stay in your own country (or that of your father) to enjoy it? Why is it so important to Muslims to impose their "religion" on others? Why don't moderate Muslims openly condemn and demonstrate against acts of terror? Why do Muslim males get married when they abase women so much? Finally, can you honestly say that you like the burka or hijab?

I await honest answers.
