To MM: Would Mohammed be a good name for me?

You are the third person who has objected to my sullying Plato's name. Moderate Muslim, I admit I am only a very poor shadow (like Plato's shadows of reality on a cave's wall) of the original Plato. I took the name not to dishonour him but to honour him. Guess why Mohammed is the most popular name for male Muslim babies. Do they all grow up to become Prophets?

Muslim philosophers and intellectuals were beholden to classical Greek thought, particularly that of Aristotle and Plato. And Plato, Moderate Muslim, was perhaps the first person to point out the logical fallacy of circular reasoning. What are Muslims best known for in their arguments. Right. Circular reasoning. How do you know the Koran is Allah's immutable word. Because the Koran says so!
