That is not entirely true, please look for a specific surah where Allah asks Muslims to wage war against the unbelievers simply because of their beliefs and rejection of Islam. Even Islamic scholars will agree that Islam in its infancy was a violent, and the spread of Islam was mainly by the sword. The two peaceful sects if , namely the Ismailis and the Ahmedyas have their own interpretation of the Koran which ironically makes Allah's word obsolete, and are rightly termed as hetitics by mainstream Muslims. Muslims must give this some thought, in that when they claim Allah to have revealed the Koran for all time, then should it not become obvious that no "interpretation" will do it justice as each human will introduce in it his own biases and shortcomings. Then we either take the Koran at face value and admit that it spews hate and discord amongst people, or that we reject it's claim to divinity and interpret it the way we wish in order to live harmoniously with people of all faiths. But you cannot have it both ways because it becomes obvious that you are using taquiya. Islam will only be reformed once Muslims admit the truth that the Koran is deeply flawed, anti-semitic, and promotes hate and apartheid. As for its spreading rapidly, that is not necessarily a good thing if you think of the spread of Cancer in a body. The planet is getting sicker by the day as more and more people embrace Islam. What kind of excuse is comparing the bible with the Koran when you claim that the former is corrupted?
