There is only one Islam - and it must go, it really must go

Sorry, but the very concept of Islamism is a result of the failure of the West to push so-called moderate Islam on Muslims when it had the upper hand. Ironically, the very term confuses modern Westerners like Pipes into actually thinking there's two kinds of Islam. There is only one Islam, because it has to accept the absolute truth of the Quran, which is a field manual for Muslim soldiers that teaches unrelenting hatred of infidels and their govts. and culture. It was designed even for children to understand so they could pick up a weapon and go on jihad even if their parents didn't. And it's not just a holy text, it's designed as a Satanic music score a la the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil", with endless recitation turning Muslims into battle-ready killers that can't be reasoned with or negotiated with, like the Terminator.
Therefore, pushing "moderate Islam" is doomed, because the parents still give the Quran to their children, and a good percentage of them will later be captured by it and go Islamist or jihadist. Even if it's only 15%, with 1.x billion Muslims that's enough to potentially destroy the civilized world.
The only way to defeat Islam is on its own terms, by making it a crime to give a Quran to a child, with a police force to enforce it. In other words, fight fire with fire. Only when a child grows up never seeing a Quran or a mosque can he/she have of chance of breaking the endless cycle and living their life as a non-Muslim. Don't tell me it's un-PC, because we already did it after we won WWII with the Nazis, prohibiting Germans from giving Mein Kampf to their children with a military occupation force acting as police.
People like Pipes who push the Impossible Dream of moderate Islam are whistling Dixie, fiddling while Rome burns, trying to shut the barn door after the horse gets out, smoking some mental dope to fuel a pipe dream. I alone have the master plan for defeating Islam. Yes, it will require a worldwide effort by all non-Muslim nations, and one might call it a world war, but I prefer to call it Anti-World War I, the war to end the endless Grand Jihad started by Muhammad by doing the thing he fears the most, keeping the Quran out of the hands of children. If we can invade the Muslim World, disarm the men, take the children away and raise them without Islam, then hopefully we can release them on probation and see the Muslim World disintegrate and rejoin the human race in one generation.
It will be very costly, but the alternative is unimaginable horror as hardcore Muslims inevitably get and use nukes and other WMDs. So what will it take for the non-Muslim world to wake up and adopt my plan? Sadly, we could have already done it a century ago, but instead wasted ourselves with two world wars while the Muslim World played us for suckers, and after discovering that we not only created the atomic bomb but let the cat out of the bag with lax security, is now seeing its chance, as we see in the news daily, while enjoying the mental confusion that's infected Pipes et al., let's not even mention total basket cases like Obama.
Does Pipes really believe his moderate Islam b.s., or is he too afraid of real Islam, and hopes the Muslim World will want to sing Kumbaya if he appeases them with enough jizya? I wish he'd be more like Roddy Piper in "They Live", and fight the bastards with everything he's got. With Islam, you have to get tough or you've already lost your nation to it, which is why there is a Muslim World in the first place. The American continent was long a world island free of Islam, and unless strong action is taken, it will slowly and bloodily be absorbed into the Muslim World.
