Reader comment on item: Islam vs. Islamism (article)
in response to reader comment: Christianism and Islamism

Islam is the problem, but the west seems to be feeding this monster, instead of finding ways to annul it's claims to exclusively of religion. You are right in stating that the petrodollars are driving this killing machine and the only way to starve this resource is alternative fuels, but who is listening? Christianity did have it's moment of barbarism, no doubt , however reformation meant going back to the basics of the teachings of Jesus, the separation of church and state, etc.. This cannot happen with Islam, because going back to the basics is exactly what is happening today. Islam's true motives is world domination, clearly outlined in numerous koranic passages, (9:29 for one). How then can anyone think there is room for some faux reformation in Islam. Even if this monster is choked of off its oily sustenance, it will still survive by its radical minions, and find alternative means to survive. If we consider ourselves far more advanced in humanism, and value our hard earned freedoms, then we have to swallow the bitter pill and defeat Islam, and not it's imaginary "Mr. Hyde", Islamism, by means of intellect. The sooner we realize this the better.
