Islam vs. Islamism

Reader comment on item: Islam vs. Islamism (article)

Dear Mr. Pipes,

Islam means submission to Al Shari'ia the law of Allah. Religion is from Latin and means believing in Gods (plural) To call Islam a religion is about the worst insult one can use against a Muslim. The most hated non Muslims are Polytheists followed by Jews and Christians. Islam is a doctrine that covers government, law and the military. Muslims, those who submit come in all sorts. National Socialism, another doctrine was defeated on the battlefield. Communism another doctrine was defeated economically, Islam will be reduced in strength because oil will run out in The Middle East to be replaced by other energy sources and the Islamic system is so dysfunctional all we have to do and wait patiently. Attacking just a small group is a waste of time. The Sufi saying 'It too will change' is a good way to go about dealing with the problem. We should be careful when dealing with Muslims and whenever they overstep our boundaries we should immediately respond with brute force.
