Reader comment on item: Salvaging the Iraq War
in response to reader comment: Pakistan should have been the target and not Iraq

Submitted by G.Vishvas (Germany), Jul 25, 2007 at 12:56

Saddam was the least nasty among muslim rulers - in fact he was secular and progressive. His cruelties were an internal problem of the irakis - a purely internal problem. He should have been allowed to keep Kuwait and in return pledge allegiance to more progressive ideals.

Indeed Pakistan and pakistani islam is the real factory of terrorism - since 60 years.

To recognise that is called realistic statesmanship - that is more than being a mean-minded low-intelligence politician, whose only "achievement+triumph" is to be able to further fool the idiotised populace so as to win two consecutive terms.
