A figure of speech but...Reader comment on item: Salvaging the Iraq War Submitted by Gan (United States), Jul 25, 2007 at 09:01 Salvaging the Iraq War...I was troubled by the title itself. We are talking about salvaging the war! What about the country, the people, security, freedom and ....democracy? It seems to me that we started talking about the "war" as an achievement by itself. Did we become so forgetful (Gonzalez Syndrome) that we don't remember what we claimed why we had to be there in the first plcae? Denial is not the name of any river in Iraq !
