I just wanted to thank Bader and Harrak for their excellent replies. I'm currently in a discussion on another forum and facing the same Xenophobia there too - so good luck to you both and keep up the excellent work Bader and Harrak!

A quick comment on the topic here: I personally believe Sunni and Shia Muslims will eventually learn to set aside their differences because after all we are under attack by a bigger enemy - ignorance and misinformation. I am optimistic that current affairs in the world will push Shia and Sunni Muslims to unite God willing.
