Christian peace activist murdered by islamist

Reader comment on item: Civil War in Iraq?

Submitted by Richard Lion heart (United States), Mar 11, 2006 at 13:36

Once again, the islamists have shown the world what they are truly about. This morning, I woke up to the news that christian peace activist Tom Fox was murdered by his terrorist captors. Fox was in captivity several months before his execution by the terrorist. Although I disagree whole heartedly with the appeasement philosophy of these peace groups, one cannot help but admire their courage at the same time.

The Chritian peace activitist went to Irak knowing the dangers they face. They know they can get killed for being a Christian or an American or both. Yet they went to Irak helping people who hated them. I'm sure they met Iraqis who appreciated their work, but I also know the viciousness of Zarqawis goons. I don't know Tom Fox, but one does not need to know him to say that he represents the essence of a Christian. Putting himself in danger helping the poor and dying while doing it. When will muslims be able to say that about their religion? I think the answer is never. After all the muslim idea of martyrdom is blow themselves up with innocent people. What ever one might think of Christian peace activist, in their own way they make us realize why we have to defeat islamofacism.
