Harrak. You insult the people of India due to your ignorance. India is the greatest democracy in the world today. Just compare the adjoining country Pakistan. They both had about the same start. India has progressed so fast and has bypassed many a country in south east asia. India is still a democratic country with a Muslim as President, a Sikh as Prime-Minister and the leader of the largest political party is a woman, a foreigner and a Catholic, whats more democratic than that?

All the people around the world admire India. Do you ever think that a Muslim majority country would ever appoint a non-Muslim into any high position? India is way ahead in every field when compared to Pakistan. Yes, there is poverty in India, so has Pakistan, Bangladesh and Indonesia. India is doing something about it with village educational programs and other poverty alleviation programs. You talk of poverty in Calcutta, I was appalled at the poverty in Karachi and Lahore. You tend to think a dictatorship is better than democracy? that is because you may have never lived in a country where the people made the decision as to who governs them and not others deciding for you. Why don't you go and live in a country under a dictator if that so pleases you.
