"You are right - America cannot be expected to fix everything wrong in the world.

But still - we have a moral choice in living in this world. Do we try to do what's right or what seems best for ourselves? It's painful, difficult, and costly to try and execute terrorists. But that's what needs to be done."

This is two different issues - our fixing the world and our executing terrorists. By international law, a terrorist caught in a combat zone may be executed out of hand. . A trial is required in other situations.
