Reader comment on item: Civil War in Iraq?
in response to reader comment: Iraq

"The Only way for Iraq to become a true democratic state one day is when Islam will be undergoing its exodus stage"

That will happen only in your wishful dreams. No region in the last 1400 years with Muslim majority has ever been converted into Christian majority except through torture and inquisition like in Spain (even there I doubt Muslims were majority). Iraq would be Muslim long after Christianity is dead. You can dream all you want but that's just a fact supported by history.

"after all Iraq was a Christian land tainted with the blood of Islam."

Iraq has been Arab and Muslim for 1400 years. Before Christianity, the region was pagan -- until Christians tortured pagans after Christianity came to power when Constantine became a Christian. How did Christianity spread to North and South America, Australia and New Zealand? What happened to pre-Christian religions there? Return all that land to pre-Christian religions than come back and whine about Iraq's religions 1400 years ago.
