I think it's important to note that maybe a smoother way to go about the clash is not to measure the size of our supernatural religious heads... but rather to view this as a microcosmic communication problem (viewing the problems of the "east" as an individual's problems) like we are bumping heads with a culture (Islam) that possibly has an inferiority complex.

That's a touchy thing and people want to stop the proverbial bomb before it goes off. I think religious maskings outsource the problem and solution to a far-off abstract land... Earth is full of purely human problems (including the co-creation of symbols and the empowerment of symbols).

Use the will and faith (which makes a human unique) to break the barriers which impede the successes of harmonious exchange.
