Reader comment on item: The Clash to End All Clashes?

Radical Islam is surely clashing with the West. There may be peace loving Muslims, but they don't seem to have much power-if any. I perceive the radicals want to have all the privileges in the West, but do not allow any privileges at all to non-Muslims in countries under their control.

It's the old double standard. But the U.S. and Israel should be used to that. One standard-a higher one-applies to the actions of the U.S. and Israel and another standard-lower-applies to every other Western country, and a third standard-even lower-applies to the Muslim states.

I think we should be civil and sensitive, but we should expect and get reciprocal civility and sensitivity in return. But we do not get it. So I say, "To Hell with them." 'What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
