Reader comment on item: The Clash to End All Clashes?

I saw you, Mr Pipes, on C-Span here in DC. Of course you were correct to say that in the West it is our tradition to be tolerant and not become violent over what is merely printed.

So freedom of speech shall not be abridged in any manner...a foundation of our western civilization.

Yet, I remembered that old saw in grade school: "Freedom of Speech does not give you the right to yell FIRE! in a crowded theater."

A bit trite but in today's crowded world, not without validity.
