Slandering the prophet of Islam? All you need to do is to read Ibn Ishaq's Sirat Rasul Allah

Dr. Pipes

Our president does not seem to be aware that Ibn Hisham makes it very clear in his redaction of Ibn Ishaq's Sira that he is editing all the "lies" and "unpleasant" stories about Muhammad that the pious would find in the original version of Ibn Ishaq! Inspite of the editing the Muhammad that emerges is really a very unpleasant and sordid character

Many Muslims back then and even now even with the sanitized version of the Sira still believe that Ibn Ishaq was slandering the prophet of Islam!

So here is the problem: Historically there is nothing incorrect in the infamous Muhammad's video that you will not find in Ibn Ishaq's sanitized version and you will find the sordid story of Muhammad's sexual encounter (which the reader will find in loving details in the Sira by Ibn Ishaq) with Khadija and it is not anymore than soft pornography

So if kuffar tell Muslims that this is what the Sira says the answer from the president seems to be that the future does not belong to those that slander Muhammad! Am I missing something here?
