On interpretation of Islamic scripture

Reader comment on item: Barack Obama and Islam: An Ongoing Saga

Another interesting point to debate:

In modern ages education in Islamic countries is negligible as a result there is not too much scholarship, debate or analysis among Muslims themselves regarding Islamic scripture.

In USA there has been some genuine interests being shown towards Islam although for some negative and tragic reasons like 9/11.

May be some new American converts will come to Islam from USA and they will interprate Islam in a better and humane way than Al-Qaeda.

That will probably what Muslims require.

Some new American converts and some fresh ideas.

Dr. Pipes love to know your views in this regard.

Thanks & Regards
Debanjan
