Significant

Reader comment on item: [U.S. Intelligence: ]"Moslem States Represent a Potential Threat to World Peace"

Submitted by Hilare (France), Feb 13, 2006 at 08:56

Extracted from paragraph "The Present Estimates" (pages 33-34) ending the chapter "ISLAM: A THREAT TO WORLD STABILITY", i find very significant the following sentences:

""(...) furthermore, their peoples are insufficiently educated to appraise propaganda or to understand the motives of those who promises a new Heaven and a new Earth. (...) There cannot be permanent world stability, when one-seventh of the earth's population exists under the economic and political conditions that imposed upon the Moslems.""

Sixty years later the song remains the same, and the major question is still pending: why West's governments have only considered the 'moderate islam' option? Viewing this 1946 report, nothing allowed them to do so.

In particular and contrary to what was done for Germany and Japan, nothing was tried to change education in moslem's countries, and worse, nothing will be tried to change this education ( i am thinking about Palestine, Irak and Afghanistan ).

I mean: how can you perfectly know there is a big problem somewhere, betting on the problem resolution ( which undoubtly is an optimistic and peaceful view ), and at the same time doing nothing to help? Can anybody seriously say that wonderful speechs on 'moderate islam' may stand for any kind of help?

Thank you D Pipes for drawing attention to this report.
