Dr. Pipes has it right except for.....Reader comment on item: Anti-Semitism Evolves Submitted by Stuart Gold (United States), Mar 2, 2005 at 12:41 As usual Daniel Pipes' comments are predominantly correct, especially when he outlines the four major shifts that have and are taking place in the evolution of anti-semitism.It's also hard not to agree with his remarks concerning the ominous futures looming for Israel and European Jewry. Where I would differ is with his assertion that "the Golden Age of American Jewry is ending", a trend he largely attributes to Leftist support for the Islamist surge. While I agree that this is certainly occurring in academia, the entertainment industry and some of the mainstream media, I would argue that there is enough center-right sentiment in the U.S. to act as a countervailing force. This is not only true in our general population but especially in the current Congressional makeup as well as having a President who knows right from wrong. I can only hope that on this aspect I'm right and Dr. Pipes is wrong. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
