"Golden age of Jewry is a misnomer"

Reader comment on item: Anti-Semitism Evolves

Jews world wide should beware thinking that their environments are benign as events have shown in history, climates can change within a decade.

The threat to Israel and Jews per se is advanced as shown by much of the world's media subtly (and openly) supporting the demonising slant against Israel and thereby against all Jews everywhere, failure to see this is the ultimate deception --
one which many secular Jews willingly take on board perhaps to fit in in their host countries, but when the hatred reaches a certain level, it won't be controlled as it is now, even in so called western countries.

The reality is that America is not a friend of Israel and this must be born in mind by Jews everywhere. America is a friend of America, Israel is a great lever in their strategy in the Middle East and against Islam. That America is a friendly nation compared to others is true.

But the intention of Islam -- and that includes Mr Abbas -- to drive the Jews into the sea is clear. It always has been and always will be -- failure to acknowledge this point is at best naive and at worst co-conspiratorial. America and its leaders have never properly and publically acknowledged this fact and therefore all their efforts have been to Israel's detriment in the long run.

This is true of the UN too since 1948 and when one looks at the duplicity of the UN and its organs with the stated aims of Islam and its actions and that of its adherents and the so called West's vasciliating actions and words through this period it makes sobering reading.

I am not an academic like Dr Pipes -- just an ordinary man -- but I have great respect for his work and efforts, and because of the internet I have been able to look at what people and organisations say and conversly what they do, in a totality; simply because of the availability of the record.

This is the wonder of the internet and I am amazed at people's blindness to the truth of the Middle East conflict and the threat to Jewry worldwide.

I do wonder that it must be spiritual or psychological in origin as the record is there to be read but isn't. The intent is there to be read but isn't. The history of the players is there to be mulled over but isn't.

Having a sensible conversations over this is nigh impossible (at times) with many people as they are so entrenched in their positions, that they are intelligent and thoughtful makes this even more worrying.

What is even more worrying is the increase of the number of people in the last 5 years who seem to believe that Israel is getting what it deserves with the suicide bombings and these are ordinary people in the street not liberal intelligensia, shows that the propoganda war is being lost in at least one Western dimocracy (sic).

That people aren't informed about Islam is true too, but again a search on google for dar is islam or harb, najuz or dhimmitude will reveal many sites that lead to others that allow for a balenced and reasoned look at the claims and history of Islam and its adherents. Not just the western media and encyclopedia's.
