Courageous Article-American Jewry Golden Age is Over

I want to comment Mr Pipes on the courage he is displaying is correctly stating the American Jewry's Golden Age is past. Assimiliation and the fear of Judeophobia is going to push American Jews further and further down. Jewish college
students and others will be forced to hide their identity or be coerced into denouncing Israel.

Most American Jews don't want to hear this, just as the Jews in Spain in 1492 didn't want to hear it and the Jews of Germany's
Weimar Republic didn't want to hear it in the 1920's.

I do, however, want to take issue with Mr Pipes' assertion that the Golden Age of America rivalled that of Spain or Eastern
Europe. The Jews' main achievements in America were financial or in the realm of non-Jewish culture, e.g. the late Arthur
Miller who didn't want to identify with the Jewish people, as good a playwright as he might have been. American Jews have not
contributed to Jewish culture very much.

Thus, any American Jew who cares about the Jewish people and their heritage should look to Israel as the future, as I have done,
leaving the US and making aliyah.
