"Christ Killers"Reader comment on item: Anti-Semitism Evolves Submitted by Michael (United States), Feb 24, 2005 at 15:14 Many Christians seem to believe that the words of their bible have never been changed from any original writings. However, as has been pointed in several of the user comments here, Rome was the seat of Christianity and the original scriptures would have had to have gone through Rome for approval.Rome would not likely have approved of any scripture that would have been critical of Romans or contained any references to Romans killing Jesus (or the 249,999 other Jews). Thus, the legend of the Jews killing Jesus was born. And fanatically believed by millions for millennia. Personally, I've asked many Chrisitians to explain to me, if Jesus could perform these extraordinary feats, such as raising the dead and turning water to wine, etc. Why couldn't he just stop the crucifixion? The answer I get is usually "It was all part of a grander plan" and "he did it for our sins"...
