Dear Dr. Pipes,

Once again, you are right on target -- as is easy to see with the discussion you've engendered.

Seems to me that anti-Jewishness is buried pretty deeply within our collective psyche.

Apparently, so are other hatreds. Evidence? See reactions by Richard Sykes and Denise (sad but certain, more will follow)

On the other hand, we also have reasonable thoughtfulness (lending credence to your proposition of a Golden Age having occurred in our culture)

Some thoughtful responses that have been especially intriguing to me have been made by, Paul Saunders, Joe Hyland, and John Schwartz.
