Defining ChristianityReader comment on item: Anti-Semitism Evolves Submitted by Rob James (United States), Feb 17, 2005 at 21:54 Some statements have been made about Christianity that have nothing to do with its actual definition.Plainly put, secularism isn't Christianity. Time and time again, we hear about "Christian Europe", "Christian America", or even "Christian Lebanon." I can assure you that Western Secularism is far away from the actual definition of Christianity. Secularism by definition is estranged from religion. One wonders how one can be seperate from religion yet still belong to a faith. With this in mind, Mr. Pipes is correct in saying that most Christians have long forsaken anti-Semitism. So-called "Christian Europe" now hates Israel for the same reason it hates American Evangelicals, it is paranoid about religion.
