Assilimation is a greater threat to Judaism than anti-Semitism

Daniel Pipes' asserts that the past sixty years were golden years for Jews simply because our "only" problems have been intermarriage, assimilation and coreligions.

Well, there's nothing golden about those problems. While it's no picnic to have to face constant physical threat to one's person, family and property, it is a whole other thing to have the threat come from within.

Jews starting non-Jewish families or teaching their children to hate everything traditional and religious as being old fashioned and out of date. The Jewish population has barely grown since the holocaust and there are many who believe that Jews, with lower birth rates and increasing rates of intermarriage are facing a population decline. The only Jews seen in television and movies hate themselves, deny who they are or ridicule themselves. Rarely is a male Jewish character seen with a Jewish woman, and rarely is a Jewish woman portrayed as anything but materialistic and irrational.

Terrorists in israel have killed hundreds, but assimilation has decimated the Jewish population by millions. Which is the bigger threat?
