Something Foul

Reader comment on item: [The Islamist-Leftist] Allied Menace
in response to reader comment: There are more Syriac than Hebrew loan words in the Qur'an

Submitted by Amin Riaz (United Kingdom), Nov 7, 2012 at 13:04

... A simple question of sources and references would have him really and grabbing anything.

For example the long standing "lie" around the word "Bisham" - when I asked for sources he pasted a chunk from a supposed Syriac source. But failed to post the bit where it said - that this is an Islamic formula.

This is in front of an audience whose love of islam is such that they would swallow anything - without bothering to find out the truth.

Just one example:

"The word Allah is a loan word from Syriac Alaha/Allaha (Nestorian)."

How is it a loan word? The root is not Syriac but even older Aramaic - whose descedent all know Semitic langiages are.

It is the job of the claimant to produce evidence. Form past experience this person has none.
