Dear Surj,

I had decided to stop debating on this site owing to numerous insults and abuses devoid of any intellectual content directed at me. I am glad though that someone could bother to do some research and attempt to debate with facts not abusive arguments. On Islam and its hatred for others, i will draw your attention to Sura 2 (Al Bakara 190): "Wa Katilu fis'sabiili Llahi alathiina yukaatiluunakum. Wa laa ta'tadu innahu laa yuhibul mu'taduun". I choose to transliterate because sometimes i am unable to extract the most accurate meaning from arabic straight to english but loosely translated, it means "Kill for the sake of Allah ONLY those who have killed you. And do not transgress because Allah your lord HATES transgressors".

Islamic teaching on this and other issues is very very wide and any one aya (verse) must be read together with and in the context of other ayats and explanatory teaching of the prophet (SAW) otherwise refereed to as Hadith on the subject for proper guidance. This is therefore to educate you that the quotation you have cited specifically relates to the killing of those infidels (by muslims) who have made it their business to kill muslims. Doesnt it make sense that when someone attacks you, you should fight back in defence? Is it not clear that some elements have today made use of the political power vested in them to fight Islam off the face of the world using all political and security related excuses? So are the muslims not right to defend themselves based on what their God has told them regarding when and whom to fight?

About the page you linked me to, i did not find any related news apart from the report that two thirds muslim university students think killing for religion is OK. What is expected? The other opinions expressed there are also very much expected, that being a webpage for Egyptian christians. So no surprises or anything new. Do you have anything to say?
