"......it will be the liberals who will have to clean up this mess, not oil slick G.B. et al."

You've got to be kidding.

You must be aware that our democratic-majority congress went on their FIVE WEEK "summer vacation" without voting on the off-shore drilling bill that OUR PRESIDENT "G.B." submitted - the Republican members stayed behind in protest.

Your precious liberal greenies are why we haven't had an oil refinery built in the U.S. for over thirty years - Pres. Clinton is the idiot who invited Arafat to the White House - Carter is the one who traveled (as well as Pelosi) to Syria - Obama is the one who wants to have "tea" with Ahmadinijad - and it will be liberals who will "clean up this mess"?!!!!!

I agree that to state "Islam is a peaceful religion" - have you seen Dr. Pipes' article on "naming the enemy" - is to completely white-wash the enemy.

But looking at the big picture, throughout the last 60 years liberal democrats have fought tooth and nail against basic fundamental principles that have made our country great (freedom through military victory, capitalism, no taxation without representation come to mind). Liberals are the ones paving the way for Islam in the U.S. Developments in Iraq have not been ideal - but Saddam is gone, his regime is gone, his sons are gone - that sends a huge exclaimation point to the rest of the Islamic world - and if we stay, or if we pull out, it will be a long time before anyone even close to Saddam's caliber comes to power.

That will be our President's legacy - as recalled by OBJECTIVE viewpoint.
