As I told you before I do believe that Allah is a loan word from Syriac Alaha/Allaha (Nestorian)

Now the Arabic word Ilah or Elah (and with the definite article al-Ilah or al-Elah) means God or the God if you add the definite article (Arabic language root ALH) is equivalent to the Hebrew word Elohim

And no the word Allah is not a contraction of the al-Ilah
