brilliant evil people

I must apologize for my limited knowledge of English. I should have realized that all evil plots are, by definition, stupid, that the IQ of the planners of 9/11 are on a par with the IQ's of the perpetrators of every common crime, that any child could have dreamed up and carried out 9/11; and that any act called "brilliant" must , of necessity, be considered a "great accomplishment" . And, as for underestimating the enemy as the way to go, why, now that the writer mentions it, I cannot imagine how I failed to appreciate the wisdom in that., as well.
